My grandma is paying me $50 to watch my grandpa for 5 hours. When im not tending to him, i get to watch tv and browse my phone. While it can be hard taking care of elderly people, it brings me a great sense of satisfaction. Not only by giving back to my Grandpa, but feeling needed and being productive.

Sounds nice. Make sure you talk to him, loneliness kills the elderly

My grandfather died in 1971. He was born in the 1800's.

I'm glad I didn't have to do this slavery.

It certainly can be hard work. The hardest part is communication. For example, he keeps his microwave in a closed cabinet outside the kitchen. He asked me to microwave some food for him. I tell him i dont see a microwave in the kitchen, and he gets irritated. He eventually shows me where it is. He didnt realize that i didnt know he kept the microwave in a closed cabinet off to the side.

He's paranoid of microwaves.

Doing a job where you can feel some kind of accomplishment or pride is the best feeling ever, can't even compare it to wage-slaving in supermarket or sweatshop.
