I have a friend whom i hang out with on a regular basis who is objectively better looking than me and i notice the Halo Effect every god damn time im with him. When we have to deal with service people he always gets treated better than me. One time it was so bad that we had a host who was also our waitress that acknowledged him to get us seated, chatted him up and literally only acknowledged me for my drink/order/check. This is the most prominent example i have, but pretty much every other time im with him it is like this to some degree. I get treated normally when im by myself, but with him i feel like subhuman trash. Do you guys ever notice very obvious examples of this around you or personally had it happen to you?
