I remember a movie scene I happened to see in TV when I was a child. Truly marked me bc I was so young.

It was about a wagie from like the 70s or something who had gone to Germany for work, but failed and came back to Spain, to the car repair shop where he used to work before he left, where he was mistreated, to admit his failure and beg the evil boss to be hired back, because otherwise he couldn't support his family.

A wagie working there who was his friend noticed, stepped in, didn't let him talk, and told the boss that he was making a bunch of money in Germany and was visiting, and got him out of there. In order to save his friend's dignity even if it meant he wouldn't get the job and would be worse off.
