I started lifting and can barely do 100lbs. I'm only doing it for a few weeks. I'm older too :(.

I don't really have a large appetite and I know I should be eating more, but still.... This is way under what a 180lb man should be able to do.

Do genetics play a role in how you gain? Seems some guys have natural muscles with little working out. I did develop nice arm muscles tough.

My hands taper down to wrists that could be on a teenage girl :(

i gymcelled for 5 years nothing changed, maybe if u have the genetics for it...

i lost all my gains at the hospital in coma last summer and not planning on getting it back

How tall are you?

Been on a diet and working out for 2 or so months and got 0 noticable results

if u have shitty frame sure u will gain some muscle and be fit overall but you will never have an optimum body like ur average gym normie or chad does.

Well, there is steroids though.

Ah yeah right. I guess it's hard to be muscular at your height. (Unless you take roids or eat an extreme amount of calories and train 5x a week)

What do you mean by nothing changed? Didn't get laid?

100 lbs of what? lol

this lol, and OP you mentioned that you need to eat more so that is a good place to start? you know since you need a caloric surplus to build muscle and all that.

yes exactly. at some point i was quite in shape, but i always looked more or less the same in clothes. i dont think it will impact my chances. maybe if i spent 5 years learning japanese or russian instead of going to the gym i had more chance of getting laid by moving abroad.

100lb bench press :(. I do have force myself to eat more. It is not that I'm not in shape, I do skate, run, etc. Just not built like a man. Maybe steroid would help me.

i trained 5x per week, ate 4000 calories, it was sickening to do that every day. in the end i looked exactly the same as always in clothes, but i did have a sixpack under my clothes.

the worst suicide fuel?

one time i was jogging shirtless, and from a distance I heard some girls biking my way and saying like "wooo boyy" or whatever

when they came up close, they literally said: "LOLLLLLLLLLLLLL EWWW NEVER MIND!!!!!!!!"

Genetics matter, anyone who says different is coping.

dude what, 100 lbs on bench is pretty good for a beginner, if you can't go higher you need to eat more. Skating and running burn calories so that is not helping you to build muscle. So you need to eat a lot more on days you do those activities to compensate for the extra calories burned.

Cancercunt. It's so gay how looks shaming men in the west is totally acceptable, but say anything about a girl's weight(mutable quality) and you just gave her anorexia.

yep exactly. the worst part is that if a chad even goes to the gym for 1 day, and talks to girls about it, they will be impressed. whereas i could spend years building my body and nobody would give a shit. the best i can do is becoming beta bucks and/or move to asia, so gym has nothing of value for me except keeping me healthy.

Yeah that's kinda sad. I bet you would have gained more muscle if you were shorter. Going to asia can be an option.

I could probably look insane because I'm a manlet

I was a pro rollerblader, but I don't take the risks I did in the past. Was thin as a rail at one time, now prob a bit skinny fat. Probably eating is the issue. But I have many markers of low-T. 6" wrists, finger ratio, phenotype etc.

Tfw you can only bench 30kg. Just lol at my shitty genetics.

Can barely even manage to squat with the 20kg bar either lololol.

Oh shit you're THAT guy lol i remember you now

If you're Low T then you'll basically gain muscle like a woman does - ie hardly any.

Honestly the only reason I'm lifting now is to maintain my existing muscle while I cut (for facial leanness). These copers who want to get big are wasting their time. Lean faces IN VERY RARE CIRCUMSTANCES make a significant difference and I feel I might as well try that out before hitting the full pizza and chips lifestyle (especially as I'm already fairly lean, just need to drop 6% or so body fat).

Women don't give a shit about muscles unless you have a truly elite physique which is massively influenced by genetics anyway.

I've been working out under personal trainers for over 6 years now. Can bench 275 at 183 lbs. You can pm me if you want some advice.

It's a fruitless effort. Don't waste your time on it anyway.

It's over for you, bruh. I'm an extreme framecel / skinnyfatcel. Still I can bench 35 kg. and squat with 30 kg.

When I first started (two months ago), I could barely lift the 20kg bar.

I don't know if I set my expectations too high, but I always felt weak for being as big as I am. I worked out for like 2 months and just gave up. I would see people half my size and weight life heavier than me, even scrawny little asian and white kids. I'd also get pain in my tendons and joints, all this while being in my early 20s. Obviously genetics play a role.

Tbf I only started last week. I know that feeling of barely lifting the bar.

Tbh muscle doesn't matter at all to me. It's just it's apparently hard to get a low bf % without doing at least some lifting. Basically I'm just lifting so my body burns the fat when I diet, rather than burning the muscle (which won't help to make my face any leaner). It's ultimately all about face.

HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You just started and you're complaining about only lifting 20kg.

Shut up and lift, breh. Don't forget to eat a lot of carbs and proteins.

My goal is only to reduce bf %, not increase muscle. I'm eating 1000 calories a day (making sure to hit the 1g of protein per 1lb of muscle rule, so all my diet is basically meat now), partly because of no money and partly because all that matters is face. Low bf % MIGHT give a lean face, so it's worth a try. Big muscles on the other hand are absolutely worthless unless your physique is truly elite.

Goal is only to maintain the muscle I have so the body just burns fat. I don't care about building muscles and looking ripped. I'll probably get to squatting around 25kg/keep the bench at 30kg, and that'll be enough to maintain while I cut my last bits of fat.

Indeed. Women don't give a shit about muscle period. Body is equally as important as face, but it's not muscle - it's HEIGHT and SHAPE. Body SHAPE is what women like, not muscles.

I had pretty great results from the get go but the only thing that changed is I got stretch marks and guys could only talk to me about working out. Like once I got pulled over by a cop for running a stop sign and he started talking about lifting to me. Women continued to ignore me.
