In Africa women are subordinated and are bought and sold in marriage, in the middle east women are made to wear a veil and they are subordinate to their husbands and brothers. In China, during the era of the One Child law, men killed their baby daughters because they valued sons more, and similar practices continue to this day in India and Pakistan. In ancient Greek, the philosophers debated on whether women were fully human.
How do all these disparate cultures, with no communication, make the same observation about reality? If all these cultures were observing that plants grow in sunlight, nobody would question. However, when they make the same conclusions about the nature of women, suddenly there's a magical global system of patriarchy. Nah fam, women are shit and we see it. We've known it for millennia.
