Even if the particular piece of entertainment/art isn't explicitly about love, a lot of the time they still find a way to sneak in a few things about how love is the greatest, how living without love is pointless and hollow and meaningless etc.
Books, movies, songs, tv shows, plays etc... any form of entertainment or art imaginable does this.
And yet suddenly when it comes to ugly men, no one gives a shit. They should just work harder and be better people, if they can't find love that means there's something wrong with them, they didn't work hard enough at their career/personality/whatever else. Not that anyone irl even talks about ugly men, they are invisible. No, society would much rather talk every single waking moment about the oppression and suffering of being a woman. This world is fucking upside down I swear, the manipulative parasitic gaslighters that women are, they're seen are seen as the victims and the silent ugly males are suffering in silence.
