Discussion For relationships, do people generally focus on personality or appearance more?

I know this forum tends to see this as appearance matters a lot more which may well be true but... I figured let's keep it neutral initially.

The thing that inspired this thread is that I notice that at least some women are shocked when I don't immediately show interest just because they're hot.

I mean, that's great that they're hot and it's definitely a plus, but generally speaking if I'm going to ask out a girl it's going to be because I think we're compatible.

Ultimately, I'm doing this for a relationship, not a one night stand.

For sub 8s to a 5 they usually get sex from their looks but the woman stays for their personalities. 9 and 10s can throw a chair at their woman and she'll still be with him
