Discussion For guys who think they'd have a girlfriend if they were born in an earlier period, do you also think you'd have an active friend group?

I'm genuinely curious about this. Not trying to insult anyone, I'll admit, whenever the topic of whether we'd always be incels or whether there are people who are only incels due to modernity comes up, I mostly side with the former, but for the people who think they'd have GFs and active sex lives if they were born just 20, 30 or so years ago, considering that IRL friendships also seem to have declined along with dating and other relationships, I wonder, do you guys think you would also have that?

Yes, if I had been born in the 1980s, and it would have been better in the 1960s, I would have had a wife and children - it's obvious. Back then, foids simply didn't have as much choice as they do now, due to the lack of technology. In order to find a Chad in those days, they had to spend a lot of effort searching for him, now they need to tap a couple of times on their phone and Chad is in their pocket.

If you were born in the 1960s or 1980s, I would probably even have my own house. Just because after the end of the cold war, the world began to rot for some reason in all areas from economics to human relations.

There were plenty of losers and dateless wonders back then. I think the main difference is the amount of time and effort it took to "get luckly" then vs now.
As for friendships, for me it went hand in hand. About the time it became obvious no girls liked me, my friends also kinda drifted off. My theory is they didn't want to hang out with a female repellent.
