I hate having to end things. Just a rant.

I hate how online dating makes everything so unnatural. I hate rejecting people and online dating makes me have to do it so much more often. Hear me out, I’m NOT saying all men love me and are into me and I am having to swat guys away like flies. No. lol. Not at all. All I’m saying is that once I start talking to someone and agree to meet them, we are suddenly dating. There is no natural getting to know each other on a basic human level, like when I’m at my workout class just working out with other people making casual conversation and seeing them socialize with other people as well. In a casual setting you can get to know someone without being on a date. Online dating jumps right to dating and I hate it so much. A guy suddenly thinks I’m theirs after 2-3 dates. I wish I had more social situations where I could meet people naturally. My current hobbies just don’t have people I’ve gotten along with in that way, except maybe one guy who was 5 years younger and had a strong belief system that didn’t align with mine lol. So we weren’t compatible. But guess what, I loved finding that out while being friends with him so we didn’t have to proceed with dating when obviously that wasn’t gonna work!

The other day I was on a date and he asked me about my exes. I mentioned that I had had two serious boyfriends worth mentioning and that I’d dated more guys in between, but I mostly just shared about my two major exes.
Today I realized I completely forgot to mention this guy I was COMPLETELY hung up on and broken by for about 2 years. Damn, I thought I would NEVER heal. I used to speak our story aloud when I was home alone, wallowing in how sad and wronged I was. How I was never going to find a connection saw raw and real as the one I had with him. And this guy didn’t even cross my mind when I was asked about my past. Fuck yea!
I mean, sure, I’m still working on getting over my most recent ex and I feel like I’ll never get over him… but… progress, ya know?? Lol.
