210k - 40% tax =126k - rent in NY city , let's say an average of 3k-4k a month -> 40-50k a year just for rent -> 70k left a year. And that's excluding all other shit like groceries, clothing, new phone/laptop etc. So realistically 50k-60k a year in savings (assuming she's conservative with her money).
