Brennah Montgomery, 31, from Las Vegas, pleaded guilty to one count of bestiality and one count of possessing child sex abuse material, according to court records.
She was arrested on May 21, last year, after the illicit videos of her sexually abusing her dog were found by Las Vegas Metro police. Authorities noted that five of these videos showed either her full or partial face, with some being duplicates.
After posting a $15,000 bond, Montgomery was released on June 1, last year. It was when she was being interviewed by police that she made the claim that she did not force the dog into the sexual activities.
The investigation into Montgomery started back in 2021 following a tip-off from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, accusing her of sharing child abuse media on Snapchat. When questioned, Montgomery initially denied downloading the illegal material she saw on a Telegram channel, claiming her phone automatically downloaded the videos.
"Brennan stated she accessed Telegram with her iPhone 12, and when she first started to use Telegram and WhatsApp, the programs automatically downloaded the media she viewed on the apps and saved to her phone," according to the arrest report.
She could face up to seven years in prison and a hefty fine of $7,000 when sentenced on May 12. As part of her plea deal, she will also be required to register as a sex offender.
On her Facebook page, Montgomery frequently posted pictures and videos of what appears to have been her dog named Piper. In a post dated February 24 of last year, Montgomery announced that she could no longer provide the care and attention her dog deserved, without giving any specific reasons. "Although it saddens me, I realize now is the best chance for both of us; new beginnings will bring immense joy & success - especially for dearest Piper!," she wrote, seeking help to find a new home for her pet.
However, after her arrest became public in June 2024, her post was inundated with negative comments. According to her social media profiles, she previously owned a bulldog and worked at a cannabis dispensary near North Las Vegas.
