I’ve discovered some thinning and a receding today in the shower and I’ve decided to start doing finasteride, has anyone here taken finasteride I would like to know if you got any of the side effects because it says online that only 1 to 2 percent get side effects.

1mg daily. I take generic finasteride. It's only £10 a month. If I was you, I'd maybe even consider dutasteride. Ashton Kutcher was on it for 10 years and he has better hair than his twin brother with the same hair loss genetics. I don't know how long term effective fin is, I've heard a lot of stories about it going to shit 5 years in.

You've got good hair genes from your dads side like me though. I first noticed thinning at 18, got on fin at 21 and still have a good set of hair at 24. Looks better than my maternal grandfathers did at my age. If you get on fin, you should be able to stop the hair loss.

I take finasteride. Not sure if it has affected the size of my dick. It was small and is still small, unsure if smaller.

But it did have a negative effect on my libido and yes, I also get more "watery" and less semen. But I also got depressed in the last years, this could also have effected my libido. But some people here like reduced libido anyway. The only annoying thing is that I barely get hard when thinking of or looking at something sexy now, I always need to touch my dick first. Porn also is way less enjoyable due to the reduced libido.

Morning wood is now only about once every few months, but I am also over 30, so tbh I don't know if it's old age, finasteride, depression or probably a combination of all three. And yes, finasteride also causes depression, but my life objectively sucks.

You will probably feel strange for a week or two. I wasn't able to get a boner for the first week I was using this medication. I experienced side effects for a week, but then they went away. I use this medication like I use toothpaste. Last tablet I took was less than 24 hours ago and last fap I did was in the last hour.

They are both 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. There are two types of reductase enzymes which finasteride inhibits the type one enzyme, dutasteride inhibits both types. Yes dutasteride is stronger finasteride.
