This sort of thing is one of the biggest, if not THE biggest, example of institutionalized anti-male gynocracy.

Good point the same cost would go on to women who cheat with a married Chad. Women are very afraid of the law and consequences so are easier to control that way too.

I would effectively do that in addition. Although I wouldn't outright say it, administrative and other hurdles to divorce can be made so big that it is easier just to stay in a marriage for women.. unless it truly is an awful and abusive marriage in which case the divorce can be granted quickly or it is otherwise worth going through the hurdles.
