LifeFuel FINALLY GETTING JAW SURGERY (Sliding Genioplasty)

I have decided to give up gym for six weeks (that’s the recovery time for sliding genioplasty I’ve been told) so I can live a better life by being happier with my face for the next 60 years.

My moms close friend is an orthodontist and his close friend is a maxilofacial surgeon. I’ll be getting surgery done in late January, when that surgeon is back from overseas.


It’s happening boyos, I’m going to live a better life. No more recessed jawline with non existent chin. No more face melting into my neck, and no more chin disappearing under my mouth when I smile. I will post progress pics when I can.

How bad jaw? It’s kinda there (but visibly narrow and receded even front on) when I focus on keeping my head up and keep jaw posture forward, but as soon as I relax and slouch face and head a little bit, jaw disappears and I get the face melting into neck thing

I’m doing it because I want to have the personal pleasure of being happy with my face, and not feeling gut wrenching disappointment and pain every fucking time I look in the mirror, especially at gym.

Like I said, if I focus on keeping jaw lightly clenched and head up and forward, I have a clear little jawline visible, but any kind of movement with my head or mouth while speaking, jawline is gone, even at 14% body fat

yeah, although you have to be careful with leforts too.

the problem with genioplasty is that it doesnt add width or height if you are significantly lacking it. he could get genio and then save up for a wrap around implant to get a very strong jawline and chin that will halo him if the rest of his face is ok

I’m only slightly better than that in terms of forward growth, and more defined.

So like, I’m a fraction less recessed than him, and a fraction more defined.

Not sure about much but I know it's realignment of the jaws to help with chewing or if you have a bad bite too. I'm pretty sure it actually adds to your face so it stimulates forward growth. It's more expensive and painful though.

I have a perfectly good bite and had braces twice, teeth and gums are perfectly good and very healthy and I brush very well.

Ah i see. Often people with recessed jaw have poor bite and overall facial structure. Maybe it's better to go with the original plan. Good luck either way
