I totally forgot about Russian roulette. After the deer hunter came out, everyone was worried about people copying those Russian roulette scenes. I guess a few people tried it, there was an actor who forgot that blanks are still dangerous and ended up killing himself doing it. (not on the set of deer hunter, he was starring in a different movie)

I don't know how I feel about a 7-year sentence. It seems excessive for someone whose risk of recidivism is relatively low, but there definitely needs to be some level of severity in the sentence to deter stupid people from trying this stupid shit.
