Since the beginning of history, female children have been unwanted and commonly disposed of. Female infanticide/son preference still continues in many places such as South and East Asia.
Females who didn't serve males anymore AKA widows, have historically been outcast from society. Widow burning was common in India.
Killing a woman has often not been a crime but a wife killing her husband has been considered abominable. In pre-feminist england the wife who killed her husband was convicted of high treason and burnt alive at the stake.
The husband's power to kill his wife was called "power of life and death". Historically the sex ratios have been 110males:100females to 140males:100females so we shouldn't value women like a bunch of feminists. They are disposable!!
1. If men make up 10% of the population and women 90% then men will only be able to provide for 10-20% of pregnant women and their children. 80-90% of pregnant women or children WILL DIE because of this and the species would be threatened.
2. If men make up 90% of the population and women 10% then each woman can be used to produce 15 children and there will be ample providers. The species would replenish itself in just one generation!
