In sociology we were discussing the feminist perspective. So we watched some generic videos: one involved kids and the wage gap, the other one was some shitty magazine complaining about girly standards.
What really struck me wasn't the inaccuracy of it all, but the simple fact that if I point it out everyone would think I'm an incel. Have we devolved so much that we have to suffocate the truth so we don't get pushed away by society?
Not to mention that, since academia in general is mostly Marxist and female-oriented, one can never point out how men also suffer from societal pressure.

Wage gap is a myth, if it was real, most employers would just hire women (which indeed happened in the industrial revolution), because its cheaper.
