This made me madder than it should have. As somebody who has been working from home for almost a year now in Japan.
Western media is like "Suicide Rates increase for Men? I sleep. This ONE time it's gone up for women? WOKE".
Spoiler fucking alert.
Most shops and restraunts have been operating at normal times this year. Life to be honest has been more or less the same except with schools/businesses reducing number of staff/students in the area. The real people who have suffered are part time workers, and uni students, most of which lost their part-time jobs at the start and had to delay their degree.
Only twice has the governer of Tokyo asked shops/restraunts to close at 10pm, for a few weeks, they're not even forced to comply. The only advantage they get if they comply is a sticker outside their window saying they're in compliance with the covid19 rules, and money to the place to support staff who lose hours.

And again, that is only Tokyo
Japan is the least cucked country when it has come to the covid numbers. Reason for that is probably the normalization of masks, hygine, and most people in Tokyo work desk jobs. Though, people have suspicion of reduction of testing because of the olympics. I doubt that is the case now because if you want to enter the country, you need to take a covid test and have results in less than 72hours since your flight.
If you look at Kobayashi's photos you can see the lights to the shops on the streets of akiba are still fucking open at night(though sun goes down around 5pm this time of the year).
Women can't fucking handle the 3rd best country that has handled it.(Taiwan #1, Probably Australia #2 with the number of cases they have almost zero in most areas).
Wonder if western media would ever report on the number of women that kill their kids in Japan. Oh wait no, they're soy.
Or how shared custody is not a thing in Japan and it is
common for women to one day just take the kids and disappear. Oh wait no, they're soy. (Spoiler: This happens quite often with women who marry foreign boyfriends
