I have been doing some reading on historical events and I came across the so-called Partition of South Asia in the 20th century. The savage British had left the continent after nearly a century of plundering it in all aspects, and in their leaving, they created two countries out of one: the Dominion of India and the Dominion of Pakistan, with the latter being divided into two different pieces of land, but united by faith.
During the process, which is referred to as "The Partition," Sikhs and Hindus from the DoP fled towards the DoI and Islamists from the DoI fled towards the DoP. What ensued was sickening crimes upon sickening crimes; from hundreds of thousands of people getting killed to innocent women getting raped. It must have been an extremely joyful event for currycels there, though, but I digress.
Keep in mind that these communities lived side by side for centuries despite their religious differences: Islamic families in Hindu/Sikh-dominated places and vice versa lived in peace with each other. Everyone knew each other back then, and were close towards each other. Imagine this: The Islamic patriarch of a family of five, who always celebrated any joyful festivies the Hindus or Sikhs were celebrating, was now getting butchered by the same people, whereas his daughter was getting raped mercilessly. In retaliation, another Islamic family would kill the Hindus and Sikhs and rape their women. These women would have been left for days, weeks, months and even years at the hands of their currycel rapists and live through it every day.
Both of the newly-formed governments agreed that they would repatriate abducted women that were separated from their families during the Partition. These repatrations would go on for quite some time; from 1947 to 1954. In total, the number of women that were rescued came down to 30,000. The number of Islamic women was 20,728 against 9,032 non-Islamic women. The numbers are quite shocking, but what is more shocking is the following....
Many women refused to be recovered; some did so out of shame, but some didn't want to return as they had adjusted with their "new" families. After this, both governments decided that there would be no forced repatriations. Yes, I have heard of the Stockholm Syndrome, but never did I think it would occur when your entire goddamn family moved away from home and there is such strong ideological differences between your rapists/captors and yourself. Crazy, and extremely sickening stuff right here.
