I tend to find that mass killers who end up leaving behind a large presence, be it in real life or over the internet, to be the most fascinating ones to read about, but the ones who would qualify for my personal favourites would be:

* Adam Lanza: Don't really need to explain this one. One of the most devastating killers, and lived such a bizarre, fascinating short life. I relate to Adam a lot.

* Randy Robert Stair: Not particularly notable, but he had a massive online footprint. I've been researching him for months and still haven't covered everything he's made on his YouTube channels. He is also possibly the only mass shooter to be somewhat transgender, or was at least crossdressing in the months and weeks leading up to his death.

* Thomas Watt Hamilton: Surprised no-one has mentioned this guy yet. One of the UK'S deadliest spree killers, and had a really sketchy past over the last two decades before his attack.

* David Gray: New Zealand's deadliest spree killer. Went commando throughout a small coastal village for a whole day before the police swatted him down.

* Patrick Purdy: Another killer who had a surprisingly lengthy criminal history, yet nearly nothing was done by authorities to restrict him from acquiring firearms. Dude's life is also kind of relatable to my own; having no friends, hating life, etc..

Yeah he was one of the greats. What is interesting is that his massacre was in 1987 so he went ER before Elliot was even born, shame there isn't there a lot of pictures of him.
