Well, my grandma asked if I could help solve a leack in her faucet in the kitchen. Well because Im a dumbass I took apart the whole fucking faucet from the sink and since that faucet had a shit load of corrosion seizing in the thread, me trying to put it back together broke the whole fucking thing.
And the source of a leack was 20 cents worth of rubber. Literally. One of the O rings went fucking bad. Then again the faucet was 10 years old so I decided since my grandma dont charge me rent for staying and Im 25 Ill get the new faucet myself. Thankfully she let me chose it and well. The brand new faucet was a blast. It has this hard core look like it was from a faucet you see in kitchens of restuarant/stores. Spout is held via a magnet. Only has 2 hoses sticking down under the sink unlike the old faucet witch for some fucking reason needed 4 hoses down there.
And it came with a free soad dispenser that mounts onto one of the sink holes witch I dont think I have a pick of it though.
Ill say the new faucet is definitely worth 230$. Works some fucking wonders compared to the previous fucking faucet. Also the old faucet had this shitty calcium buildup that had no way of being fixed. Not even CLR could clean all the shit out.
But I hope this motivates you to learn to care for a house. Maybe work trades. Despite me 3 weeks away from finishing my HVAC course, I plan to see if I can do a electrical aprentiship instead since I wont need to carry a fuck load of various tools. Also electrical is alot brain chomping then HVAC and pays more. Doest have the construction feel of Plumbing and well, for plumbing all I can say is "dont play with shit if you cant handle the smell".
But do learn to care for a house. Itll pay off. Trust me.
