When a man gets fat enough for long enough, his dermis will become so deformed that it will need surgery to be corrected once all the weight is lost, thus making the fatcel no different from the nosecel, jawcel, or other truecel. This will often be the case with men who were obese as kids, when they didn't know any better and/or their bad diets were forced on them by their parent(s). Massive weight loss often causes loose skin, the severity of which depends mainly on the elasticity of the skin, which depends on age and genetics. Although it is true that loose skin can be made less prevalent by losing those last few pounds of subcutaneous fat, it won't achieve true paper-like thinness until the formerly fat incel gets below 10% bodyfat, which is difficult to sustain over a long period of time, to the point where it will interfere with his social life if he has one.
It takes a lot of willpower to make all the changes to habit and lifestyle lose massive amounts of weight, but as we all know, personality is a meme, and all that's there to see is an ugly slab of stretched skin for the femoid to look at in disgust.
So if you're only a couple dozen pounds overweight, then just lose the weight, because you're a pure volcel. But if you're *severely* overweight, and have been for a while, it may very well be over for you. That's not to say you shouldn't lose it for other reasons, but if you can't afford surgery to correct the skin problem, you'll never be attractive to the opposite sex.
