Fuck it's over. Modern GCSEs are more or less a memory test and how much you can speculate about some mediocre texts from 100 years ago and how good you are at using your imagination to make completely unrelated points by using the most tenuous links imaginable. I might request a ban for a month and absolutely bash the fuck out of revision so I do well, but I'm kinda already in my chosen college with my chosen course, and it's not like it will actually make me smarter, so is it worth it? I'll likely pass all of my exams comfortably apart from English, which I haven't done anything in for 2+ years, and I can't rely on natural intuition because it's just memory of books and poems which I can't see in the actual exam. So maybe I'll request a ban if I fuck up tomorrow and just do work non stop for the entire exam period. I'm pretty lazy, though, so we'll have to see how far I get.

the night is still long :feelstrash::feelsrope:

School is just a (((brainwashing))) central for men and a whore factory for foids

revision for what an essay?

Holy shit reading that brings back so many awful memories of school, im so glad to be neet now tbh

isnt it mandatory to have at least a c in English? doesnt it mean the college will force you to retake it until you get a c?

LDAR
Lay down and revise

Yeah but the grades have changed so it's now a "4" instead of a C-. A "5" is a good pass like a C+. The maximum is a "9" which is like the top 2%of marks in the country. I think I'll probably pass English if I get lucky on the exams (there are like 12 tasks).

How can you fund it? Tbh all exams are closed book now, too.

I used to leave studying for exams to the last minute. I just couldn't discipline myself to do it in good time and would constantly procrastinate, then on the morning of exams I would set my alarm very early and revise and learn the information I had to learn. It was fine because I could do it without getting stressed out, and it worked out in the end as I got decent grades, but I'm glad I'm done with it.

You're about 30 something now, though, aren't you? They made exams all into case studies that you have to memorise and then regurgitate onto the page by using formulaic writing styles. It's impossible to revise for 3 3 part exams with the stuff I need to know, the technique and all the rest in just a morning. Also, the exams are pretty much random chance because you are given, maybe, 12 case studies for each topic in each subject, meaning you just have to be lucky. The exams are bullshit and my age group are the first to be the guinea pigs, so the education system didn't know what they were meant to teach until 2 years ago instead of 5, and they don't know how to teach it because they've never done it before, and only became teachers because it requires no critical thinking. The grade boundaries are also going to be harsher so it's all stacked against me. Anyways I'll see how I do in my Spanish oral tomorrow.

Do you have good grades in general?

I have my first exam on Friday

I'm 29. :feelsbadman: Are you still a teenager?! Damn, I feel old.

I was pretty good at disciplining myself to revise for my exams at school, but at university I got progressively worse and worse. I just wanted to be done with it by the end.

It's just getting worse tbh.

You're 16?! Holy shit...now I feel ancient.

I was similarly shocked when I discovered Blacktarpill is only 18. To me, it's utterly bizarre to think I'm more than 10 years older than you guys because I can relate to you more than people my own age. Despite the age gap, I don't have any more sexual/relationship experience than you, whereas I don't know any other 29-year-old virgins in real life. When I'm posting here, it doesn't feel like there's such a big age difference.

Bro, if you need to memorize stuff just cheat. I always use that tactic on those.

Yeah I feel the same. I'm, despite the amount of kids who say it, at least "mature for my age" online. I don't have experience socialising with people my own age so it's much easier to talk to everyone here, as we're all equal in our shared experiences and suffering. You're also the only guy I've seen who consistently uses "whom" accurately, so that gives me some degree of solidarity.
I really do like how this forum doesn't judge on age or whatever, just that you are a lonely guy who can't get female attention and we all have that in common.

Maybe in Turkey you can do that -_-
