The problem with MLG videos was that they were all the same. It was a video with the same 10 or so memes thrown in. Seeing mountain dew, doritos, a blunt, a fedora, that snoop dog gif, a lenny face and the illuminati symbol haphazardly thrown into a video got old fast.

Youtube poops on the other hand were way funnier. They had a lot more variety and creativity. They actually had jokes/punchlines with clever editing instead of just having a bunch of memes crammed into it. At least the good ones did.

I agree with you with you. MLG was funny as shit to me but it got old fast and YTP videos are still alive unlike mlg vids.
