Height preference in women evoultioned way before civilization when people used to be Hunter gathers. males of the tribe would go out and hunt all sorts of animals for the camp to eat and aviod and defend against all sorts of predators one of the ways humans did this is by having a higher height to spot prey and predators simply put the more food you managed to hunt the more women flocked to you cause of your strength. This also over time people and society viewed height as a positive thing associating it with strength,intelligence and wisom.
