Most of the women in the anime are just completely fucking useless and basically thrown in as 'medical ninja' or fuckholes for the male characters so they could have a representation in Boruto.

Expanding on that point, pretty much EVERYONE in the main cast is useless other than Naruto and Sasuke who are the living reincarnations of two gods(clear representation of how genes predetermine your destiny)

Rock Lee, Sakura and even Might Guy were overall useless and didn't do relevant things(because they weren't born with any clan powers and they aren't blessed with any god tier genes). Now before you bring up Guy vs Madara, Guy should have won but by virtue of being a side character Madara just healed back up right after fighting him, further empathising how you can't play around your destiny to be irrelevant.

Despite numerous attempts on her life by this guy, Sakura kept falling for Sasuke, the handsome dark Chad of the show. She didn't give a shit about Naruto and Lee simping for her the entirety of the anime because they weren't as handsome or as dark triad.

It was never about hard work or talent. Just about who you know and how you were born. Powerful people kept their friends and students in power and that system is still in place to this day.
