Let's say there are two couples and in both, one partner gets some kind of health condition.

If it's the woman, I feel like the guy may well stay with her. Or even if he doesn't she can find a new guy easy.

If it's the man... I think she may well just leave, saying that she needs to go and live her life more fully or something. And then it's very hard to find someone else.

I guess it's just an example of something that can totally sink things again.

If you're lucky you at least got a kid or two out of the relationship, I guess.
