If you're ethnic and were born in a predominantly white country, then it's kind of just assimilation. Most of the time it happens subconsciously. Most people will naturally adhere to the dominant culture of where they grow up.
That said, making conscious effort to "act white" is silly. Same goes for anyone who goes out of their way to "act like" another race. While we're at it, going out of your way to avoid doing/saying certain things to combat a stereotype (racial or otherwise) is also stupid.
