A MOTHER R*PED AND DROWNED 4 YEAR-OLD STEP-DAUGHTER Amber Hughes faces a charge of m*rder after she drowned her four-year-old stepdaughter Nada-Jane Therèse Challita after a telephone argument with her father "You broke my heart, I'm going to burn yours," were the last words Elie Challita heard from his 23 year old girlfriend, Amber Hughes, before she r*ped and drowned his four-year-old daughter, Nada-Jane.Elie Challita had left Nada-Jane at home in Jhb with Hughes, a nursery school teacher, while he went house hunting in Polokwane.During the day she called him in a rage after discovering he'd been chatting with other women on WhatsApp. She accused him of being unfaithful and threatened to destroy everything he loved.After trying and failing to get hold of her, the desperate father called a friend who rushed to his home where the friend found Hughes in the lounge with cuts on her wrists. When he asked where Nada-Jane was, she pointed to the bathroom. The little girl’s body was found floating in the bath. She was rushed to hospital but had already passed away. Hughes will be facing two charges of r*pe and one of m*rder.
