The Theranos founder's fraud trail has already been delayed three times because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

What kind of a bitch brings a child into the world, understanding the strong likelyhood she could be spending all that time behind bars? This is a ridiculously selfish thing to do. If she is pregnant, it's very likely her prison experience will be as cushy as possible, not to mention the short-term effect of the trial getting delayed. She does not care this pending child at all. The upcoming child is just an entertainment vehicle for her, as it's the only thing she has to look foward to thinking about in her time behind bars.

Her action sets a dangerous precedent to all bad girls awaiting trial- GET KNOCKED UP. It's a win-win situation.

TBH, her whole lawsuit is essentially a result of a MASSIVE butthurt some dumb investors still have. They expected to become billionaires when Theranos technology goes live worldwide, but insted they got a huge slap on their ego that a college dropout foid was easily able to trick them into giving her their shekels like kids.

Whoever claims actual damages as a result of Theranos false blood test results is a fucking idiot - when you get a test result that can potentially lead to some serious irreversible medical decisions (e.g. "based on this test you have a testicular cancer and we need to cut your balls off"), you get tested again in a reference lab different from the one where you got that result and you don't make another lab aware of the first test. I thought that's like the golden standard in oncology and many other "serious" areas of medicine where a mistake can easlily cost you a life.

If Shkreli is getting 7 years for a similar crime of defrauding investors, Elizabeth Holmes deserves at least 13 years, due to the increased scale and health risks associated with her fraud

Tbh I respectfully disagree (though I may not know the full story). Shkreli was fucking around with patents and was selling a lifesaving drug (daraprim and derivatives of its main component) for 50+ times its realistic market price without really leaving people with alternatives

Holmes was marketing her innovative blood tests primarily to idiots who "hated needles". None of her tests were essentially unique (so people clearly had a choice) and many of their limitations were disclosed upfront. She essentially fucked with investors' egos and got some shady doctor's exposed (ones who cared more about kickbacks from pharma and labs rather than about health of their patients).

She is still a bitch and sure as hell she committed a crime, but it could've been almost victimless if other people had not committed linked crimes themselves (mainly criminal negligence).

Everything Shkreli did with daraprim is 100% legal. He got busted for embezzling money from a company he used to be CEO for, to pay back his former hedge fund clients. His investors still made money, so technically nobody got financially harmed from the situation.
