It's Over Electric maxing gone wrong

Well. Theres a 50/50 chance of me either dying or loosing my left arm today. Why? Well I decided to replace 2 outlets in my grandmas living room. On one of the outlets I wasnt paying attention when I was using a clamp meter to check the amperage (I only was able to check the amps on the bottom side of the first outlet I replaced) and let my fingers touch the neutral side of the screws...

First thing I learned about electricution from that session is that its way more silent then you think it is. Infact the only noise youll hear is from the poor basterd screaming in pain if they even can. Outside of that its actually noisless. But the pain is more then what you expect. Felt like a painfull spasm. Then after that shit happend I still feels short episodes of soreness or pain through out my left arm. I have no way of knowing if the current crossed my heart or not. So I might be fucked. I might not be. In other news I treid out these clamp nuts since I dont want to fuck with the twist nuts for wires. Thankfully no incedent on the 2nd outlets.

Let this be a PSA. Watch your fingers. Dont be the circut. Yes I did shut out the power when changing the outlet but I turned it back on after putting the wires in to test the amperage on the clamp since I cant figure jack shit on the prongs for voltage. My left arm has these spots of slight to medium pain as I type this. If not feeling week. From a 120/240 circut.

So that is a very form of electricution. Its actually a combo of 2 different things. One is arcing and the other is actually electricution. If you were there for me it would have look like me having a painfull spasm and retracting my left arm. No flashing, noise explosion noise or zapping. Basically a deadly version of getting a bee sting.

Ohm my god. You need to think outside the junction box and wire some facts into your head. Better those facts are solid then stranded. Dont want your mind having a loose conection.

I learned from an electrician I think how complex and varied outlets can be. I don't understand much about it but yeah that's amazing the potential they have to do harm.

I hope things get better though and you're ok in the end or at least recover as much as possible.

I thought I was gonna have the flesh rot thing but in reality thats more common with linemen work. My grandpa was a linemen and his coworker touched a outdoor line. Ran a whole fucking current through the heart and these lines if Im right are 720 volts. 5 times the voltage I faced when I touched the 2 outlet screws by accident. Its been 6 hours since it happend. No trips to the hospital. Left arm still works. This was a 20 amp circuit I was dealing with. God knows the amperage on a fucking outdoor line. But that 720E line caused enough current to kill out all reproducing cells for his arm to his heart. So week by week a peice of him rotted out until his heart rotted out and he died. Probably the most brutal way to die from electricity. But Ill tell you this when electric shocking happens like it did to me, its silent. You dont hear the zapp noise like shown in hollywood or video games. Its completly noiseless.

To put it in laymen speak... the issue is that some outlets allow too much power to flow through them?

It's strange to me because the cables in the walls must carry a set amount, right? Touching a socket will generally give a smaller shock than that?

Not anymore. 1 hour from when I type this I changed another outlet in this time the front living room in my grandmas house. Thank fuck I didnt touch the screws wile there live because it had way more amperage them the outlet that shocked me. This one I just did could have ropped me.

I have a replace all the shitty outlets wish. Also me doing it if I dont hurt myself is way cheaper then hiring a electritian. And my grandma deosnt charge me rent to stay here so I try to lift my weight were I can.
