Many corporations run systems of performance review where a small but fixed number of employees will be terminated or not have their contracts renewed every year. So outside of the top performers you really have to suck some cock in order just to keep your job. I've been in the corporate world lads - It's not a good place. The manual jobs I have had without an office were the best. None of this bullshit.
