it depends
a lot of ppl with autism cope with alcohol to deal with the autism. My uncle is a "functional member of societyTM"
but thats only because hes an alcoholic. He has 4 autistic kids and 100% has that shit himself.

I coudlnt drink if I wanted to because my body has health issues that dont allow me to enjoy it.
Another issue is that with autism and zero social connections, you dont even have access to drugs anyway.
Ive literally never had a friend group in my entire life, not even as a toddler.
so theres no way for me to obtain anything beyond basic booze
