Dont get idea of friendship

I believe in brotherhood of those who united by common goal. But i dont understand the idea of friendship that is based on personal interests. Is not it akward to express your personal feelings and thoughts? Secondly why would you want to do so in first place?
What is the purpuse of friendship?
I think only person of poor inner life would like to share personal things. It is something like emotional pornography. I think friendship is awfull.

If you can communicate with someone freely and if you do that often, that is a friend.

Humans are social animals. We have a need for companionship, without it your mind and body starts to break down.

You sound like a schizoid, I also feel that I am a schizoid yet feel like I should have friends, a spouse, someone that cares about me personally, and that I am missing out without it.

Ive never had such need.

I gotta say, man. The companionship I felt with some of the team mates when I still played sports was amazing. Our friendship died down after I quit. Of course I didn't like all of my mates, usually they weren't team players and too egotistical. Like many of you guys.
