i've been logged out of my IS account all day and i didn't get a login email or password reset email for some reason.
even though my email address is still linked to my account, so its not like its been changed.

i managed to log back into IS thanks to using my backup codes.
i strongly advise other users to get backups codes in case they get logged out of IS and cant log back in.

IS has this feature where it trusts your current device for 30 days and those 30 days for my laptop expired.

but no matter how many times, i try to logic back in, i never got the login email or password reset email.
and my email address and IS password are both unchanged.
I've sent a message to @Fat Link and @proudweeb about this to find out why this was.

you can get backup codes by going onto Two-step verification on password and security

suit yourself, but you'll be wishing you did if you get logged out and can't log back in.

there are different ways you can get the backup codes.
Such as passkeys, receiving a verification code via the app or through email.
you can also generate new backup codes anytime too.

yeah, they said the two factor authentication system fucked up, they've been having an email issue.

Ever heard of a password manager? I don't use 2FA at all since I used an email without my real name and a really long password. I don't know why you would even need 2FA but you can explore other methods of 2FA though such as Passkeys or Offline methods but I doubt this site supports those methods.
