Does someone know what this smell is?

So I just went to my kitchen and something smells off. It is a wired smell but I'll try my best to describe it:

It is sweet-rotten, very irony however has a Vaseline sweetness to it. It smells similarly to menstrual blood (I have sisters and a mother so that's how I know) but not quite, the pungency of menstrual blood is present but the end notes are somewhat sweet as I previously said. It vaguely reminds me of the bitterness of rotten potatoes but not really there.

Idk. I thought that it came from a fly trap but it didn't. It is seemingly coming from the top floor near my refrigerator (I smelled the refrigerator thorrowly and it isn't coming from there), the ground doesn't smell of whatever that thing is.

Could any nosecels help a nigga out?

That was my first guess, but how could the smell come through the solid walls and floor? Seems unlikely.

I have seen videos of houses exploding from this crap. If OP lights a match or even flips an electrical switch, his house can instantly blow up

I have actually considered that, but I haven't see any moisture up there so I doubt that this is what is happening. Not my house so not my problem, but still pretty worrisome. Thanks for the guess brocel.
