does anyone play Etrian Odyssey?

I tried EO 1 and it's tedious and grindy af and lots of backtracking kinda dislike that kind of dungeon crawler ngl especially in turn based battles when does it gonna get good? Also that scorpion boss in the next floor was almost impossible lmfao.

Yeah cuz the only thing to do in these games is to approach new boss > get fucked first time > grind or power up for 100 hours > beat boss > new boss > get fucked again > repeat. I would love some boss fights to have some kind of puzzle in them even if your underleved to win instead of just grinding shit.

Yep. I enjoy the aesthetics but there's nothing special or unique about the gameplay.
