I casually follow the field, but I'm just a layman, and I have no education and don't work in tech at all, (plus I'm low IQ) so my understanding is pretty limited to say the least. I also don't pay for a chatgpt subscription, so I don't have access to o1.

How far are we from AGI?

I'm sick of my shitty job and eagerly await the day when my job is automated and I can collect UBI. I also want an AI gf. If I had a sentient AI gf and got UBI, I'd never have a reason to talk to another human being again.

My life will certainly be a lot better, I hate my job with a passion.

Probably not gonna be possible for us im guessing, atmost its gonna take your job and forcing you to slave off for little pay
