I shave just in case if I ever ascend I won't look like a suspicious virgin with razor bumps all over my pubic area and balls. Though you could use an electric razor to remedy that. However, it's quite inconvenient and trimming it with a normal razor in the shower only costs like 2 minutes of my time anyway.
