I do, hence why "borninthewronggenerationcel."
I have an obsession with the times between the early 80s-late 90s.
All the music I listen to is from that period, when I watch TV/movies they're from that period, a vast majority of my electronics are from that period, most of the games I play are from that period, etc. I also like the fashion from back then, the cars from back then, and the fact that feminism was nowhere near as big as now. And there was no stupid shit like the [after HTML 3.0-era] Internet, dating apps, or social media (however the Internet is a GREAT cope nowadays).
I feel like I'd be a much happier person if I lived in that period permanently. I also feel like I (along with a LOT of us) could've ascended back then.
I thought it was a phase starting from when I was 8 or 9, it's almost established into my brain now. If I become exposed to anything (except modern games/Internet shit) from this time period, I start to sperg out, especially if I'm exposed to the shit they play on the radios. I used to cover my ears and SCREAM when I was little whenever my mom would play the newer shit. It would make my head literally hurt, but I feel like the headaches were inflicted psychologically.
One of my ultimate copes is being surrounded by things from that generation -- it makes me feel a lot happier and it puts my psychological state into a resting manner.
Anyone else like this?
