I've been a huge fan for a long time, don't care about the casting as long as the writing isn't bad. His blackness will simply be a shield for criticism, like how any criticism of Chibnall's bad writing was seen as "misogyny", whenever someone criticised anything Chibnall did they were called "toilet haters".
A female Doctor can easily work, but Chibnall as a showrunner simply didn't. An African Doctor can equally work, but if he's accompanied with bad writing people will remember him as a bad Doctor.
Feminism, SJW's, and Woketards ruined the show with their writing, I'd rather have a Black female Doctor with good writing and sensible political commentary than a White male Doctor with dumb writing and idiotic (woke) political commentary.

My biggest problem with woke entertainment media isn't really the casting or what they promote though, it's how aggressive they are to those they dislike. Groups like straight white men, right-wingers, Christians, etc.
It's usually that that takes it from a bit irritating to completely unwatchable, for me. Even if I agreed with their worldview I wouldn't enjoy watching that.
