When I was a kid I had this problem of often walking with my tip toes (this is literally an autism trait). People often judged me for it. I guess I don't do that as much anymore, but I did a few times over the past few years and in one of the times I was humiliated in high school because of it.
I too was once humiliated for allegedly wiggling my ass while walking.
Anyway, I'm now very self-conscious about how I walk. Instead of "walking automatically", I "walk manually" (which probably makes me walk even weirder). It is similar to breathing automatically or manually.
I recently recorded a video of myself walking and noticed that even when I don't walk with my tip toes, I seem to step on the ground in a strange way (in a "flat" way with all my foot, not with heels first).
