He came in illegally, but then got granted to stay legally as a resident.

I say just deport him to Mexico or something and ban him from ever coming back. Maybe keep him in an American prison for a year or so for illegal entry and gang affiliation. Why a North Korean style prison for life? Seems a bridge too far. Not like he killed someone. You don't send people to 50 years of hard labor in North Korea for steeling a $500 computer, a domestic dispute or overstaying your visa to Canada.

But come on man, a WHOLE life sentence in a third world prison cell for entering a country illegally?

If you went to Canada and overstayed your visa, would that justify a life time prison sentence? Just deport the shitskin and don't allow him back in the country. Why that type of extreme punishment?
