nintendo just released a statement on their overpriced console that people who can't afford it should stick with switch 1. This is nintendo's xbox one moment on other hand people claim how they miss iwata and reggie as if situation would have been way better if those 2 were still around

The price bitching for a $450 console is going to look really stupid when next consoles are released.

Prices for silicon and hardware have gone way up lately and that's not changing.

tbf most bitching is about 80 dollar digital games and 90 dollar physical games that come with digital key. I haven't seen that big of a outrage against console price

Game prices don't matter unless a significant amount of people stop buying them near release, and I doubt that's going to happen. I see with the HARDCORE DELUXE PLAY THE GAME 3 DAYS EARLY versions of games that I've played that people who really want these games will pay $100+.

Nintendo's bigger problem is stubbornness to drop prices over time, anyway. That's where I'm surprised they remain successful compared to other consoles and especially PC.

yeah hardware is now worth asked price (shame about lack of ssd) but games are way too expensive especially since games just recently raised their price , Nintendo was the last company i would expect to propose rising price of new games
