I'm assuming not in the same way they are these days, it might have been closer to other species where hunting prowess and strength meant more than facial bones. Males and females were naked and foids could see the guy's dicksize easily so a big dick could have been even more of a bonus back then. I'm also assuming pretty boyness wasn't a thing and if some guys looked like that they'd be shunned as weaklings.

People couldn't travel far. So there were even number of females to males. It was a small amount.
So they paired up. If a male was ugly, there was nothing to compare him to, except the few local men. That's it. With social media, women can select from thousands of men.
Years ago, women couldn't do that. There was no travel. You had to take what was near by.
