I stopped two years ago. Before, I smoked around 40 cigarettes (one bag of tobacco) a day.
And I feel it's like with alcoholics who say that they aren't "ex-alcoholics" but "dry for so-and-so many days." Same with smoking. I'm not an ex-smoker, I'm just a "dry smoker" for two years. I could immediately start smoking 40 cigarettes a day again.
I dipped tobacco twice and quit, my gums hurt, so I decided it wasn't worth it. I have very sensitive gums genetically, always had canker sores and the likes as a young kid.
