Believe me, hot nights are way worse. If you dont have air conditioning then its over for you in summer nights as its harder to protect yourself against heat than against cold. Plus all you need to in cold nights is to turn on the heating and get a big blanket

idk i sleep right next to a window, so that and just not wearing alot helps for me.

Long, deep, dark and cold days of winter along with nature's seeming death is a miserable and merciless time with the prospect of Spring long forgotten. Life can only be endured. Winter reminds us daily that life is short and that death and decay is the natural state. Whatever joy we can grasp is transient and fleeting. Our lives, meaningless and rotten, stagger on.

Vivaldi's Winter is a fine composition that depicts the subjugation of man's hopes under the onslaught of winters' relentless moribundity.

Please note that the tempo is allegro non molto which reinforces man's desperate but futile hopes of overcoming winters' despair. The last movement reflects the final desperate spasms of man before he admits defeat to the frozen embrace of WINTER.
