Even if I don't like strategy games or city builders very much I used to like this saga when I was a teencel. I played Tropico 4 and 5, honestly both are very similiar except Tropico 5 has a bit of character customization, your character can retire or die (and you play as his descendant) and there are some more constructions but the gameplay is pretty much the same. Since at that time I was bad at resource management and all that sheit I only played the sandbox mode with unlimited money. Usually I started to play "seriously" trying to build a nice city for my people with much leisure, work, nice buildings, etc. But those fuckers were never happy, even if I tweaked some stuff like subsidizing rent or free education to help the poorest citizens my approval rate kept decreasing and too many people prefered to live in slums than in the brand new homes I built for them. So I got tired and then I just turned the country into North Korea of the Caribbean building a shitton of military infrastructure, developing a nuclear program and making my policy the most authoritarian I could. That's what you get for being ungrateful kek.
