it has a steep learning curve, but it's easy once you get the hang of it

I can't speak for game versions past 2.8 though, since I don't play anything past it (versions 2.6 to 2.8 are gigabased since enslaving aliens in those versions is OP)

not at all actually, watching a 2-3 hour video and doing a singular run till a crisis should give you enough basic information to pilot most empire builds. After that, it's only really a matter of small tips and build-oriented playstyles. and mods ig, if you wish to use 'em.
