Do you guys prefer the old or new textures in Minecraft?

I kinda prefer the old textures for most blocks. It had a dull almost more natural look to it. Now everything is ultra colorful and rich, too saturated and unrealistic

Side note, I also hate how they continually added more mobs. I liked when it was just the 5-6 base mobs that all had purpose and dropped items that helped towards reaching the end

I do like the addition of some of the animals though like bees and dolphins

Especially because many of them are useless, such as the sniffer.

I also prefer the older textures, but it may be nostalga.

Some blocks are better than the old but you are right a lot of blocks feel too unrealistic and saturated it can become an eyesore.

Last time I played was in 2013 ish.... it was fun back then, can't imagine how fun the game must be in 2025..
I love that you can be creative in terms of building houses, castles, underground bunkers, entire empires etc

Minecraft online community was quiet big back during the golden YouTube era (2013)
